Just a quick update that I have successfully put everything in storage.  That was my last major thing on my list.  I am now living out of my backpack preparing for Saturday’s flight.    Shout out to my two great friends for letting me stay with them till my flight.  Thanks guys.  Anyone else watching the blog hopefully it had been a bit interesting so far.   Thank you for reading.  Starting Saturday I’ll be posting travel updates.  Those should be a bit more fun.

Just a quick update.  I’m three days away from my flight.    Hopefully around then I’ll start posting some interesting updates.  My flight to New Zealand is on a July 8th.  Today my entire life goes into storage and I start living out of one duffel bag.  It’s going to be fun.

This is mainly for the techie friends.  The site is now ssl secured.  Sorry I didn’t splurge for the EV SSL.  It was far out of my budget (For now).  But the entire site should be loading as an https site.  This took me more hours than I care to admit.

TLDR:  The site is more secure.  Yay.

Just a quick update.  I guess I forgot to post my Deployment date.  I leave the US on July 8th.

So I got my Itinerary today and figured I’d make my first post.  I will fly from DFW -> LAX -> Auckland (New Zealand) -> Christchurch (New Zealand). Then I’ll get suited up and go to Antarctica on a C-130 Hercules.  American Airlines all the way to New Zealand.
